in search of sunrise

Italian loving over at Bonta with Edward, the tiramisu totally made my night. Make your way back to Singapore already, everyone missed you much! A tub of Sour Sally awaits you.

That aside, weekends spent at Butter & Attica Too never failed to disappoint. Sometimes I’m such a baddie, I secretly enjoy seeing people pass out from one too many drinks, teehee!

Okay, goodnight world, I need to crash before I do a massive clothing update tomorrow. I would surprise you, so stay tuned!

Glamorous with Dress Sense

Getting immaculately dressed for big events require plenty of preparation albeit a lot of fun, and could easily be hazardous to our pockets. No matter how stunning a gown is, the thought of having to splurge for a one-time wear just does not seem so practical.

Picture my excitement when I encountered Dress Sense– an innovative retail concept offering customers the option to buy or rent at an affordable price!

When I was invited to their private event held at their standing store over at Raffles City #03-29A, I was blown away immediately.

Their multi-label collection of evening wear was extensive, featuring brands such as Jovani, Adrianna Papell & Inge Christopher to name a few. Plus, Deborah & Cindy didn’t forget to tickle out tastebuds with delicious treats, how thoughtful!

I know, it’s hard to picture me in something so delicate that spells feminine, but hey, least I’m not afraid of embracing all sorts of style. Truth be told, I’m very particular about my choice of clothings, & wouldn’t be caught dead in something that I feel repulsive towards.

When it comes to evening gowns, the workmanship, selection of fabric & design aesthetic are equally important. Dress Sense fulfills all of that & caters to women from all walks of life.

With this Nicole Bakti gown in a royal blue shade, it was truly love at first sight! Ps, in case you’re wondering, yes I’ve darkened my hair a teeny bit over at Salon Vim which I’d further elaborate on another post!

Nicole Bakti has earned itself a name in the evening wear industry with its classic remakes, complementing timeless designs with modern details. With the simple lines & intricate details, Nicole Bakti pieces exude a tinge of sexiness & a lot of feminity.

Knowing me, stopping at one is almost impossible. If you could fall in love once, you could do it all over again twice & thrice. I was literally spoilt for choice! Alas, I found myself attached to a Jos + Rachel multicoloured tube dress. It’s ravishing, isn’t it?

All that aside, let me fill you in on Dress Sense’s Buy/Rent Concept:

1)BUY a brand new piece at full price/rented piece at lower price.

2)RENT A PIECE for 2 weeks at a fraction of full purchase price.

3)RENT FIRST & BUY LATER. That’s when you’re smitten!

I can trust Dress Sense to keep me red-carpet ready at all times. Check out Dress Sense for more information & Merry Christmas!

I love Buttercookies

If you’re thinking of the tastiest mid-week party, there could only be Buttercookies!

Each Wednesday’s a blast, don’t miss out!

Shoot for REV Magazine

Did a shoot for REV Magazine about a month back & it was a lot of fun! Even more thrilled when they told me I’d be gracing their first issue! Just got the pictures from Susanna a while ago, thanks!

Despite wrapping up pretty late, I had tremendous fun throughout it all! Special thanks to the photographer, Peter Lee, the wonderful people behind REV magazine, Susanna To & the makeup artist for making the shoot such a breeze!

i’m all things unthinkable

When there’s no end to shopping, where pigging out goes on till the wee hours of the morning! Hello Hong Kong, here we come!

The most impromptu trip ever had me getting tickets one day before departure, it was pure madness! The last minute decision to stay at Harbour Grand Hong Kong I definitely didn’t regret despite the high season rate.

Alas, a bed I could actually pass out on instantly. I bid you goodbye insomniac nights.

I wished Singapore had such cool weather even without rain. We could literally wrap ourselves in fur coars & strut down the sidewalk in skyhigh boots without a trickle of sweat. Decided to take the Star Ferry to cross to the other side, total tourist moment! Oh well, we’re not to blame, we’re on a holiday!

Gonna miss waking up proper & actually having lunch at decent timings. Plus, desserts here are so good we need more than just one serving! And the best part being, every food place you step foot into serves mouthwatering dishes, how rare!

Took the ferry back to the other side, boy were we blown away by the breathtaking sight! It looked even better in the night than in the day! No more taking the MTR’s, we’d rather view lovely scenery anytime & be intoxicated.

There’s also the dinner at Xi Yan! Despite the place being highly inaccessible, I like it’s exclusivity. I love how all the dishes were executed with precision. Thank you Ben!

Next up, Apple & I decided to have our very own photobooth moment. Don’t say I didn’t warn you beforehand, it’s gonna be a massive picture post! But first, I must keep myself full with my favourite streetfood, yummy!

Korean food afterwards to replenish all energy lost from all that running about, teehee! Just when our tummies grumbled, talk about perfect timing. Yay!

Stayed at The Mira over at Kowloon too, I just had to check out how it looked newly renovated! Gotta love all things in shades of grey, way more mellow.

That’s when reality hit me & I’m back in Singapore. I miss all that streetfood & unlimited shopping already! I think I might just do a round two in January, teehee!

So dead beat right now, it’s time to snooze. Have a great week ahead to all!

Glam it up with Pink Parlour

Totally not regretting the decision to go shades lighter, & all I needed to complete the look was freshly tinted brows. I love you Pink Parlour, you always put an end to my woes. It was a quick fifteen minutes & I was ready to go, talk about high efficiency! Alas, I couldn’t resist a makeover for my nails too.

Well, of course, it’s time to breakaway from all things dainty and go full-on ferocious! Fret not, these take only thirty minutes to paste on & can last for about two weeks! Boy do I love the high shine without a tinge of polish! Now watch me rock these metallic nails! Oh Pink Parlour what am I to do without you?

Specially for my readers, these nails will be $60/set with FREE soak off ( U.P additional $48). They come in various animal prints! Book your appointment with Pink Parlour today!

louder than words

Funny how time flies, & my favourite time of the year is here! Plenty of celebration & plenty of reasons to shop! The endless flow of champagne throughout the weekends have left me recuperating during the weekdays, making me the most unproductive person alive. Time to freshen up & get more involved with the weekly apparel updates!

Pasta de Waraku presents Hanito

Shibuya Original Honey Toast – HANITO makes it way to our sunny shores. Together with Apple, we had a taste of the sweetest indulgence from Pasta de Waraku over at The Heeren. Hanito is a honey toast dessert consisting of buttered toast cubes, honey, ice cream & fruits. Sounds good already?

I probably have the worst eating habits, I’m not one who eats to live. I live to eat. Here’s the Earthquake Hanito which is guaranteed to send shockwaves of yumminess!

When it comes to desserts, I’m not easily pleased. An extreme glutton would not settle for just one, teehee! We also had the Choco Banana Hanito which I absolutely loved.

There’s also the Macha Red Bean Hanito & the Peanut Butter Hanito, told you I am a true blue glutton! The sweetness from the ice cream & drizzled honey blended perfectly together to make extremely addictive treats!

Pasta de Waraku is located at The Heeren #05-03. Head on down to try it if you haven’t!
