When it comes to matters of the hair, I’m one adventurous creature & going extreme is part of my nature. I’ve tried close to everything on the colour chart, all except red. It’s one colour that I wasn’t really sure about, thinking it’d wash me out. But seeing some of my girlfriends rock that colour, I’ve decided to give it a shot too! Wish me luck!
Having had blonde streaks for almost two years now, I must be feeling really spontaneous at this moment to be doing this. Okay so the secret’s out, L’oreal Paris Excellence is introducing a new line of Fashion Shades inspired by Paris Glamour. In 4 Ravishing shades of Red – P64 Intense Copper Red, P66 Intense Spicy Red, P56 Intense Violet Red & P46 Intense Ruby Red, let’s guess which colour did I pick to embrace 2013?
Depending on your hair length & thickness, one box might just be sufficient for you. But since my hair is the equivalent of a lion’s mane, hence the need for 2 boxes is not peculiar! Honestly, I’ve always been skeptical about DIY hair dyes because I’ve heard how messy they can be, but with proper pre-colour preparation & following the step-by-step instructions, I could be on my way to have vibrant red hair!
All it took was 30 minutes of waiting time & voila! Will you take a look at my new hair already? Does it not scream ferocious? Boy am I impressed with the results, I’d never look at DIY hair dyes the same way ever again! I didn’t expect the colour to turn out this vibrant & so full of shine! Instead of washing my skin tone out, friends of mine have complimented how fair my skin looks against the red hair, yay!
Here’s how it looks with flash. I feel damn pretty damn spicy already!
Now let’s see how it looks without flash! Pretty damn amazing isn’t it?
I know another concern you might have is that all these dyeing might damage you hair to its maximum, but with L’oreal Paris Excellence DIY Hair Colour, it has a Triple-Care Formula to protect, strengthen & nourish hair while colouring so your hair stays strong & silky smooth! Tell me how I could not love this product? Besides, Excellence Fashion is formulated with Hi-Shine Complex for spectacular brilliance & Hi-Intensity Pigments for Rich Intense Colour.
Don’t forget about Post Colour Protection! To keep the colour as intense, I always use a shampoo & conditioner specially for colour-treated hair! Here’s my current favourite – L’oreal Paris Hair Expertise EverPure Range. It is 100% sulphate-free, hence it does not strip my hair colour & keeps the colour pure even after 32 washes.
Let’s step out of our comfort zones, embrace 2013 & have a lil’ fun with red!
L’oreal Paris Excellence is available at Watsons, Guardian, Supermarkets & Departmental stores from January onwards. Excellence Fashion is at a special introductory price of $15.90 (U.P $18.90) for the month of January. What are you waiting for?
